my chickens eye is bad need help

my chickens eye is shut and it opened it before the rooster hasnt been singing and it seems sad the eye looks watery and im very upset i just kind of found the chicken in the woods around my house i fed it and it never left and it just became my pet, im very worried, the eyelid is shut and the eye is watery what should i do should i take it to a vet or is there something i can do??

also give three drops of POLYVISOL in the beak for a week and then taper off... (polyvisol is liquid childrens vitamins...will give him vit A )
