I saw that on the news last night. (I'm in CDA) Congrats! Yelled to my 8 yo DD to watch the story as she's totally excited about starting our chicken experience next week. Building the coop (if DH & I can agreed on design) this weekend. Weather is supposed to be good on Sat.
This came at a good time of the year for you'll too. What fun, coop & run building, choosing chicks. WHAT FUN!!!
I've had chickens for 11 years now, they certainly have enriched my life........as I know it will do for you'll too.
Chickens make the world a better place.
Ooooh, this means that I can get a couple of standard brahmas now? I don't think my bf believes me when I tell him about the size of the ones I showed as a kid
I am so happy that the Spokane Valley has gotten a clue and now we can have our chickens. (well legally anyway) This ordinance has always been on the honor system here (not enough man power, money and resources to enforce it) and unless someone turns you in they have no clue you have chickens.
It wasnt me and my chickens on the news, but that man and his family did A LOT of the leg work to get our chicken rights back.
Now we just have to work on the county. He lives right on the border of the Valley and County and so his chickens are still illegal
