Hmmm, thats strange.

Maybe you're doing something wrong? Have you tried getting on your knees around the birds and clucking, scratching and pecking around imitating what the chickens do?

That usually works and puts them at ease. They should be cuddling up to you in no time!

Just kidding with you. Its normal, don't worry about it and continue to treat them kindly, give them veggie and worm treats and make sure they are safe, well fed, well watered and loved.

Well you are not along. I have 7, 3 20 weeks old and 4 that are 10 weeks old. Between them all there are 5 different breeds which I was told should be all friendly but oh no I can getting close to them unless i corner them 🤪 I think in time when they get older they will calm down a bit.

All great answers. I agree, the cuddle factor depends on breed and personality and as prey animals they are naturally skittish and may not like to be held. Spending time with them may just be feeding and talking with them, having them eat from your hand. Once YOU are associated with treats ,the love will follow, just on chicken terms though 🥰
