My chickens HATE snow...

most of mine stay in their coop until they absolutely have to go out. My rooster hates it the most.

Mine haven't had to much snow yet. We had a little yesterday but it melted by the time I got home.

We only had about an inch of snow yesterday morning. Someone else gave a great description their chickens' reaction to it, and it fit mine to a T...they acted as if the stuff was nuclear fallout...lol. Three would not even breach it to get to the bowl of oatmeal I put down for them. So of course I moved the treat to their chicken porch.

Mine went out, looked confused, and went back in the coop for a while. One of my polish kids really did hate it. She was practically climbing the nearest tree in order to stay out of it

After a while they all came back out except for a few (including the polish tree climber

).
