Whenever I try to walk my 90 pound boxer, I am surrounded by ducks and chickens. This dog has already killed a duck and some chickens so I have a heck of a time holding him back with all these tasty treats running by him. I would think the chickens would have the sense (HAHAHHAHAHA) to be afraid of the dog, but I guess they figure I am "safe" so it's ok.

More and more I understand the concept of "bird brain".

They just see you, the treat giver, and flock to be at your side.

Good thing you have your dog on a leash!

Haha, really? Our Boxer is wonderful with the chickens. She has never even chased one down before. In fact, she likes to make nice-nice with the Polish and sniff 'em out from the other side of the yard. They she walks up to them and stands right next to them as if to say, "I found you!"

When she was a younger dog and our birds were younger bird, she would lap them up whenever I held them. hey poor things were covered in dog saliva until they feathered up.

That's really funny actually, our girls always mind the dog.

They wouldn't stand within 3 yards of her. I'm sure it has somthing to do with their smelly dogwash when they were younger. Chickens are so funny sometimes.
