my chickens have started laying!

This is roo. Hes my pretty boy. He used to bite but has the fight taken right out of him even he got infrared ensnared in his coop fencing. We fixed that but now he's much nicer and didn't peck any more. I know hes just about of age but no crowing yet. The hens I have are the same age if not a week older maybe two but they still are not red in the face and seem to be smaller than him as well. Did he just happen to mature faster? Anxious to see done eggs.
