Hi!

My three chickens just ate most of a cyclamen plant I had outside. I've read that they're poisonous. Does anyone know more about this? They may have chewed on it before, I hadn't really paid attention, and they have yet to look sick. They just ate a bunch of it 2 minutes ago. Any ideas?

Thanks!

Liz

I just read that the poisonous parts are the roots and that a lot has to be ingested to cause problems (although probably less for chickens). They only ate the leaves. So if anybody has more info, I'd appreciate it, but I think they should be okay!

I hope they do fine. In general I've found that my free range chickens don't eat whats bad for them.
