I can tell you that Blukote doesn't deter birds tastewise (conversely Pick No More tastes bad, though it's also not intended to be rubbed on eggs), so if they're going for eggs because they recognize that the insides of an egg taste good, the Blukote won't do a thing. They could still see it's an egg regardless of the fact that it'd be a vibrantly blue-purple egg.
