My chickens love weeds!

I've been letting my 4 pullets run around on the side of the house the last week, and they are absolutely loving the weeds. Do I need to worry about this, or can I assume that they know what they're doing?

My broodies raise their chicks outside every spring and they peck at everything from a very young age, I wouldn't worry about them. Those are some nice birds you have there

My dad tosses the weeds he pulls out of the flower beds into the coop every couple of days. My girls gobble it up.

almost thought those were my chickens...I have several of the exact ones!

Every time we let ours out of the coop/run, in the mornings...the immediately do their chicken/run/fly thing and race to the weeds...its hilarious to watch!
They have clear cut an entire area already...LOVE IT!

The year before I got my chickens my backyard was filled with dandelion weeds. Now after a year of chickens I hardly have any dandelions at all! They love them!
