My chickens on ABC's Nightline tonight!!

The piece was great. Thank you for letting us know about it. Everybody thought we nuts before we got chickens. Luckily most of our friends either had chickens or wanted them or keep their opinions to themselves.

I saw a short story on our ABC channel this morning. I bet that was you. I was so excited they had a story about backyard chickens and showed the My Pet Chicken website that I was screaming for my husband to come watch it. It was great! I'll have to watch the Nightline story.

Let me just say you did a phenomenal job of explaining what goes on. Not sure if you noticed, but you covered health, environment, local ordinances, education and children. Not bad at all! You did an excellent job of introducing a variety of topics/issues without sounding like a freak or preachy. You seemed like the lady next door that just happens to have pet chickens.

Very, Very, Very unlike the lady on the nature show that aired recently where she carried her rooster around everywhere and kept calling him her soul mate. That lady? Um... yeah. I was horrified watching that show because it seemed to be a freak parade rather than something interesting.

Although I do think you cooked your eggs on a little too hot a heat.
