My chickens transitioned into a new big coop and run. They are huddled by the door and not in the perch.

Welcome to BYC. It will take them a few days to adjust. Most chickens do not like anything new.

when i switched my 3 chickens to different coop , 2 of them figured it out day one. but my other hen was sleeping in nesting box so every night i went in and moved her onto the roost. for about 10 nights. then she finally learned. i think the other two are so buddy buddy and they were making it hard for her to join them. like middle school girls lunch table.

Not the best pics of the new coop, but we are proud of it. Hope the chicks will be. Still has a few finishing touches needed.

Chicken Coop Ventilation - Go Out There And Cut More Holes In Your Coop!

Hello and welcome to BYC! Glad you joined.

Your coop looks to be a good size. But you definitely need a lot more ventilation in there. The easiest place to put a lot more is on the side adjacent to the run so the run roof can protect the openings.
As for them not roosting yet, they don't know that structure at all. They're going to need time to explore it before they're going to be comfortable enough to roost in there. Just give them a few more days.
