My chickens wont eat any stuff we give them.

We always feed fruit and other stuff to our chickens but they dont eat any of it. They still eat their regular food food, flowers, and grass like crazy but wont eat other stuff is there anythign wrong with them?

picky picky picky. conservative eaters. a lot of dog people are like that.

Have you tried cooked spaghetti noodles or little grape tomatoes cut in half? How old are your chickens? Sometimes the younger ones take some time before they will go after treats which is actually a good thing because a lot of treats are not that great for the young ones. Try some fresh green leafy things too. Once you get them to where they will eat leafy greens then start adding in other yummy things with the greens.

mine are weird like that as well. i gave them yogart and they looked a me funny. they eat it now but geesshh! They also liked when i tied it up to the fence rather then thrown on the ground

Take a finger and start pecking at what you want them to eat. I've found mine are inquisitive and will come running to see what goodies I've found if I do that.

Might work for yours as well!

Maybe start by pecking at what you know they will eat. Once they realize you have good things, start substituting what you offer them.

Mine r really picky too! They won't even eat strawberries. Not wild about melons either.
I recently gave them BOK CHOY cabbage and they love it. Corn on the cob is still their favorite treat.

Mine ignore half of what I offer, too. They're so afraid of anything new. Lots of times they will accept it after a bit; the pecking at it with your finger is a good idea.

Try some meat; I dare a chicken to turn it down! (Pinch off a bit of your next Big Mac.)

I haven't tried giving treats, but when i carry slop to them, they always come running, because i always carry the same metal bucket. In fact they start hollering like crazy!!!!

My baby chicks think this is hilarious, and ignored the grapes i fed them, so i guess you just need to keep trying. That's what i did with my other chickens, just kept throwing it in there

I had the same thing happen with mine! I set out all kinds of delicious treats, and they were like, "Wha?" They have finally come around, but it took about a month.

Luckily I wasn't wasting anything. They live in a chicken tractor, and when I pull the tractor forward, the dogs rush in to gobble up anything the chickens have ignored.

So far their #1 favorite treat, out of everything I've given them, has been dandelions. Good thing, I guess! There's no shortage of them here.

Same thing happens with mine! Sinistra and Julia would rather die than eat anything new. They like rice however.
