Hello people! I posted pictures of my chicks a few weeks ago. I figured you guys would like to see an update 🥰 I adopted them on April 30. They all seem to be a few days apart since I bought them from the feed store. I love them so much, they are so sweet. They are huge cuddle bugs! They are splat in the middle of the awkward teen phase, but at least none of them are Polishes with scraggly baby crests!
If anyone thinks that one may be a rooster, please tell me. They were sexed, but I'm still worried about having to lose one of them as my town does not allow roosters ;-;

Smoke is being a tiny wizard's raven here. She isn't the absolute biggest fan of being picked up and held, but she will let you do it for around 2 minutes. She's the biggest chick of the bunch, and one of, if not the, oldest. She's a Mystic Onyx.
teen akira.jpg

Akira is probably the most awkward-looking of the chicks with her half coat of feathers. :lau She still has so much energy, and she's always jumping on top of the waterer and looking like she wants to fly onto the edge of the brooder. If Smoke isn't the oldest chick, she is! Around half the time when she is held, she actually calms down. Not this time, though! She is an Olive Egger. She's likely at the top of the pecking order.
teen beatrix.jpg

Here's Beatrix being adorable. Shortly after this picture was taken she was being so sweet and cuddly. She's funny; she hates being picked up but loves being on your lap. She's like a dog who wants to play fetch but won't let you take the ball lol! She's got a spiky neck because of all the feathers coming in. She is a Barnevelder.

Here's Tabby, the dark Brahma. She's undoubtably the youngest chick as she's the smallest and has the least feather development. She's starting to get the beautiful Brahma face shape that I love so much ^U^ She loves the warmth of being held. She's also still got a really loud voice!
teen star wars.jpg

And here is Star Wars! In my opinion, she is one of the most beautiful chicks so far. Her blue feathers are incredible, and she's got the prettiest eyes I have ever seen on a chicken. She's the one who loves being held the most, she ends up purring a lot. She seems to be a bit socially awkward; she likes to hang out on the edge of the group of chicks. She's also really smart. When we give them treats she doesn't go crazy like the others, she waits for them to get caught up in chasing each other and then gets the treats they're not going after all to herself. She had a toe injury recently-ish, but it has healed. She lost her nail, but a new one is growing back. She's a blue laced red Wyandotte.
Enjoy the chick pictures!
