My chicks are here!

Post office called this morning so they are here and settling in. I wasn't quite ready and didn't have newspaper to lay over the wood shavings but they seem to be finding the food anyway.

I am the proud new Mama to

4 Buff Orpingtons (1 died on the way)
5 Rhode Island Reds
5 Silver Laced Wyandottes
5 Auracanas
6 Black Australorps
and
1 mystery chick

I can't stop peeking in on them, keep hearing them peep even when they're not around and want desperately just to hold them and play with them!

BTW, I wouldn't put newspaper down on top of their shavings. Newspaper is slippery and its said to contribute to spraddle leg.
