My chicks are here!!!!

I ordered 12 chicks from Ideal Poultry on the 18th. I paid the insurance (which was less than $2) so they would not include the male chicks. They shipped yesterday from Texas and arrived overnight here to TN!!! I was so excited to pick them up today. They are all alive, active and look great. They are in their brooder right now climbing all over their feeder, drinking water and pecking each other,lol.


This is our 'baby brooder' that they are in for the next two weeks

Although I'm a little worried about the colors, arent the production supposed to be light as well as the red stars?

*edited to add: figured it out, email says my sex links are black...not red.

CUTE! I sure wish Ideal would call about mine. Not due for 2 wks, but they seem to be shippign early for lots of folks.

ok I just read that apparently the sex links are black, for some reason I expected red,lol. Guess that explains it

I only see 3 chicks they are either Rhone Ilsand Reds or Production,the rest are proubly Australorps & Barred Plymouth Rocks.
