Doesn't that scare you??? (The rooster fighting?)
Someone said my situation was quite unusual for my roos.
I had 3, and one day I thought one was mating the other (I had JUST found out 100% for sure I had 3 roos instead of 1).
Anyway though, these roos were juveniles (hatched June 15 2007) and they were fighting to the death! What looked like attempted mating was the one jumping on the other and pulling it's head feathers and twisting and clawing with his feet.
They were beyond "normal roo" chest bumping.
They had drawn blood and were so tired and would not give up...they'd fight, back off, fight, back off...bloodied heads and combs and all.
We rehomed 2 (the 2 that had bloodied themselves, and they were our favorites...UGH), and the one we kept ended up dying a week later for no apparent reason.
