My Chicks Arrived Today!!!!!

My chicks arrived today from Cackle Hatchery and I can't say enough good things about them. 25 darllings (+1 extra) made the trip without incident - all are healthy, active and oh so very cute. My new flock includes 5 each of Australorps, Barred Rocks, Rhode Island Reds, Red Sex Link and Brown Leghorn. I'll be keeping about half of them and the other hafl will go to my boss.

Aww they are darling. It still amazes me that they can be sent by mail and still survive. They must be tough.

i was just looking at cackle hatchery last night. so you're happy with them? i would be making a small order, but i think i'm going to wait for cooler weather - it's already so hot here that if they got delayed at all, it would mean doomsday for them. i'm not going to take the risk. i just wish i could get the chicks i want - right now. i'm one of those immediate gratification people that has a hard time waiting.

Very pretty chickies! So far I have resisted chicks this year, but pix like that make it hard!
