My chicks arrived!!!

I got a call from the post office around 10 this morning that my chicks had arrived. Of course, it was a very busy day at work, so I couldn't leave

so I told the postal worker I'd get there when I could. Well, at 1:30 he calls me back and tells me that the chicks are very loud and they would be happy to deliver them to me! So they drove the chicks from the post office to my work...luckily my boss is nice and my co-workers are understanding (and I have an office in a quiet corner by myself!).

I ordered 25 chicks, but got 30. Mostly EE's, but a few RIR's...and two "mystery chicks".

Thanks! I got off the phone with the guy from the post office and went up to the receptionist...told her I was about to make the oddest request that she'd gotten today. She of course said that she had had a lot of weirdness today, so she doubted I could top it.

But after I told her I would need a phone call in my office to let me know when my chickens had arrived, she agreed that it WAS the oddest request of the day!

Oh tooo funny! I can just see my boss now. He already thinks I'm crazy and worse...thinks chicks are just rats with feathers that spread salmonella! I just hope my post office calls me at 6 in the morning so I can just call in late rather than have to tell him I gotta leave to go get them!

Oh forgot to mention....they are sooo adorable! Have fun with your babies!

They are beutiful chicks. I ordered 15 RIR, I was hoping to get packing peanuts like that, instead I got 1 more RIR. My little girl named them all Molly. Because they all look the same.
