My chicks first 3bedroom apt with a loft

Any suggestions?

They will be able to get out of that if you do not have some kind of lid to put over the top. Even just a window screen with something heavy enough to keep it on will do. Chicks can jump surprisingly high at just a few days old.

Also... the heat lamp is close to combustible materials.

But it sure is cute!

Thank you so much for the advice! I do have a cover for it I just didn’t show that because it’s not cute lol any suggestions on the heat lamp? Maybe move it to the other side? This is only temp as I will have to make a bigger one as the chicks get bigger! Thanks for the help!
