My chicks have mites/lice!! Help!!

I noticed a couple days ago that my 7-10 week old chicks have lice/mite! This is not good. What can I use to cure them? Help!! Thanks in advance.

do they have mites and lice ? what color are they? and give them a good bath in dawn dish soap

They are yellowish in color. I think they are mites.

you can get a livestock dust at the feedstore for treating chicken lice

Hi they sound like chicken body lice. Very easy to treat with a poultry lice powder lightly dusted at the base of the feathers, concentrating around the vent and underside. Repeat again in several days. Best to douse full flock if you havent already. Good luck
