I am VERY new to this. I have about 7 week old chicks and so far two have died for apparently no reason. We had a sick one just over a week ago that was pooping blood so we treated the flock with Corid for a week and everyone looked good and the one that was sick is better now. Now I have had two seemingly healthy chicks just drop dead. What should I look for???

It sounds as though you are giving the right medication. Maybe the ones that died weren't drinking enough of the water to get the right dose of Corid. Check your dose. Are they on a 20% protein chick crumble? You might put 1 tablespoonful of apple cider vinegar into 1 gallon of water every day from now on, and offer them plain yogurt to help their intestines get back on track. ACV is great stuff, especially the unpasteurized with the "mother" such as Braggs or Heinz. Many people recommend putting a big ole piece of sod with grass into chicks' brooder from the first day to expose them gradually to cocci in the soil so they will build up a natural immunity.
