A piece of string caught up on one of my chick's foot and it became very tight. It went through her skin and it started bleeding. There is also swelling at the top of the cut because I think the blood can't circulate through the string part because it's very tight. I tried cutting the string but it just bled more so I didn't cut it. There is no vet near us so please help me. What should I do? Should I cut the string or not?
I also applied hydrogen peroxide and betadine on the infected area and the cut is very deep. I just wanna help her. What if she lose to much blood? I'm scared that she will die :(

You really need to get that string out or it will cut off circulation and she will lose the foot. The longer it's on, the more it will swell too which will in turn make it worse so you need to get it off asap. Cut it off as carefully as you can. It may cause a little more bleeding, but it's better than her losing the foot. Once the string's off, if the injury is still really bleeding, you can pack it with cornstarch or flour and that will stop it. After, clean it out well and if you have it, apply neosporin without pain relief. That's important, the pain relief stuff is toxic to chickens. If you don't have it, the peroxide and betadine will be fine to use too.

Thank you for the answer! I finally cut the string off :) it bled a little but atleast the string is now gone. How do i heal the cuts and the swelling now?

The swelling should hopefully go down now the string's off. For the cut, just keep it clean and put on neosporin and it should heal up. You could cover it with some gauze if you have other chicks and they're pecking at it.
