My Chicks,Turkeys and Ducks from Ideal arrived this morn.

After waiting what seemed like forever my Chicks,Turkeys and Ducks arrived this morning at 7am.
They were all in phenomenal condition and all alive and trying to jump out of the box I had to hold them back just to get them in the brooder.
Once in the brooders they wanted a drink and then to my surprise wanted to eat so I helped them to learn by scratching in the feed like a hen would.
This actually helps them to learn to peck at the food and gets them off to a good start

Heres the pics I have 3 East Indie ducks 1drake 3 hens, 2 Mallard ducks hen/drake, 3 Bronze Turkeys 1 tom/2 hens, 5 Birchen Modern game, 5 Self Blue moderns and 10 Pearl OEGB

Still in the box and the Turkey really wants out!

cuties. I got my chicks from Meyer and picked them up on tues. Mine were feisty little buggers when they got home and tried to jump outta the box as well!
After a bout of warming up, eating, drinking and playing they passed out. Reminded me of a new puppy...You bring it home, it eats drinks plays poops and acts like a wild animal. Then settles in for a good long nap.

i wish I could have a couple ducks and turkey. I just dont have the room for a separate housing for turkeys, and no H2O for ducks, so they wouldnt be too happy not having a place for a swim...

We have 1 acre right now, so space is an issue....but someday when we build our homestead. Thewe WILL be turkeys, ducks. Maybe a goat. Or even a small Dexter cow.... (*dreams*)

I had some turkeys last summer I had got them as poults from a auction and as they grew I didn't have the space and sold them {I missed them so much}
But now I will have the space for this Trio I just love to hear them when they are older nothing like a Turkey gobble
I already have Call ducks and saw the East Indies at a show and just had to have some

I hope you can have some someday soon, please post the pics of your chicks I would love to see them
