My Chics Made It In A Few Casualties

The room is at 90 degrees and there is one 250 watt heat lamp pointed to the 1/3 side of the box, a back up 100 watt regular light. The temp under the heat lamp is right at 100 degrees and the chics have started avoiding that area. They have plenty of room to get out to what temp that feel comfortable at. I looked at the box and it said that the chics hatched out friday and got mailed on saturday. I did not receive them until tuesday. I was expecting to lose some.

ok on the heat then...not trying to make you mad...i guess the chicks were "on the road" for too long then. i do like the brooder you made and i would like to make some similar but stack them where i could put different ages of chicks in them. kinda like start to finish when they could be put into bigger pens. nice talking to you. cornishman.
