My chocolate silkie project

hows it going, any colored eggs yet? :wee
Actually, I do have one silkie pullet that is laying a green egg! I bought her from someone who had a pullet with the blue egg gene, and of the two girls that I hatched, one lays a regular pinkish egg and one lays greenish! So that will be helpful! And I also have some silkie crossed with bantam ameraucanas and the first generation pullet that has started laying has the most gorgeous teal blue egg. So I am hopefully going to continue to slowly work on this and see where I end up!!

Here are a couple of pics - it is really difficult to get the correct color to translate through the lens.

The picture of eggs in my hand outside has regular silkie, ameraucana bantam, the greenish laying silkie, and banty ameraucana/silkie. The ones in the egg carton are reg silkie, OE on left, silkie/ambanty top middle and greenish silkie egg on right, then the two in my hand has a regular bantam ameraucana in the back and the cross with silkie in the front.
