The Pollard and Ballarstock is Layer feed, yes? So it has calcium then that’s good but sometimes they need extra so if you can get crushed oyster shell to leave out for them. They’ll only eat what they need from it. Another thing I do I save all the shells from my own birds eggs I rinse then let them dry and when I haves good bunch together I bake them for a few minutes and then I crushed them and feed them back to the birds in a separate bowl. They love that.I feed them pollard and barastoc grains and greens. downstairs I have a bag of pellets I am yet to bring up and add to their food. about 2 months ago I threw some cuttle fish bones to them but in saying all that I do have 15 birds in total so there's a chance she's been missing out on the feed.
I'm not entirely sure if the pollard and feed are for layers. I just buy them what ever so they get a variation of grains and greens, 3 grain mix and something else I think. and they get all our food scraps like normal fruits and veg and meat occasionally. they do eat a lot of dirt cockaroches cause we have mango trees in the yardThe Pollard and Ballarstock is Layer feed, yes? We do the same thing with the egg shells for free choice calcium. The Pollard and Ballarstock is Layer feed, yes? They carry a layer feed. If you can get that one but oh my birds eat feed that’s not layer style no extra calcium added it’s an all flock style because I have ducks, geese and chickens, they just have the oyster shells and Their own egg shells on the side. And occasionally I’ll see a duck with a struggle to get out an egg or have soft shells so I give liquid calcium gluconate one ML with a syringe and repeat once a day for a few days. Calcium is very important if they don’t get enough in their diet they take it from their own bones to create the egg shellsI'm not entirely sure if the pollard and feed are for layers.
