Hi guys! I was wondering if you knew what was wrong with my sweet baby Butterball. He is not lethargic and is eating and drinking and walking normally but his comb is turning black. Some help would be greatly appreciated!

Depending on his age could be a boost in testosterone levels also could be a sign of lack of oxygen caused by resperitory infection. I would lean more toward the testosterone level. If it was winter I’d say frostbite.

It is summer where I am so probably testosterone because he is about four months now correct?

That would be what I would lean towards. He’s growing into himself. I’d just keep a close eye to make sure he doesn’t have any odd behavior but if he’s eating and drinking normal he’s just going through man hood.

Thank you so much! We are glad our sweet boy is just becoming a rooster.
