So here are some photos of the coop build at this point Getting close to being done. it turned into a bigger project then I imagined but I am very happy with it so far. there have been time I have asked myself why I didn't just do a hoop coop and call it good. and I figure im going to need to keep chickens for years to at this point!
if you look close one of our cats was helping with the roof!
need to put up the fencing, hardware cloth and paint. I'll update when its done. My dad came over for 2 weekend to help, and my husband and I are both sore and tired but amazed with the outcome so far. I think we are into it around $450 right now not counting time. we found the cull lumber and got what we could there, the roof was a pretty penny but it rains a lot here so I know we will be happy we did the roof. We also had some material we where able to use already. I think its going to be around 550 to 650 all said and done with the fencing and paint. Sure hope they lay a lot of eggs....
