What type of predators do you have? and is your yard fenced? Thanks for the info!

This is our biggest problem. Part of our property is fenced in with a 6 ft wood fence but that doesn't stop a bobcat.

Wow! and you only have the 1/2 inch hardware cloth? I'd really like to only use one type of fencing lol

well they moved in last week... still need to finish the run then later on i'll do some more work to the coop but they are so so happy to be in the larger space

The run is almost done, My gosh this is a bigger project then I imagined! Stretched hardware cloth last night on myst of the coop, finishing the door up tonight and tomorrow. They will soon have much more space to frolic in! I didn't have the right equipment to stretch the hardware cloth, so we did the best we could by hand its pretty good. Had I the option to use a come-along wrench and fence stretcher I would have, it would look better but life isn't perfect! I can not wait to be done with the coop!!!

You might want to add a bit more ventilation. You want air to move through the coop above the roosting chickens.

Yeah plan on adding in some more windows and there are 2 ridge vents on the high and low side... I was amazed with how much ventilation was recommended for a coop!
