My coop build

We got our chickens given to us about 2 weeks ago. I'm now building a coop for them starting in the garage where it isn't completely freezing cold.

Some pics.



I built it on skids to be able to move it around as right now in the winter I won't be able to place it where I'd really like to have it.



2x3 construction for walls






Doing as much as I can indoors before moving it outside.

Looks good! Nice angle on those skids.
I assume that the walls are only clamped in place...as it's already taller than the garage door?
Are you going to sheath it inside or out?
 
Plywood siding was put on before going outside.

Skids needed some thought to make sure they slide easily and also so when pulling it doesn't pull the two skids together and damage coop.
 
Yes, the walls are clamped and temporarily nailed as the completed coop will not fit outside the door.

It looks really good. Is it supposed to be based off of an amish style coop. I like it a lot. Framework looks solid and efficient. Best of luck when you take it outside.
 
Great looking coop! What are the dimensions of the base just so I have a size reference?
