My coop got delivered today!

Cant wait for our girls to be in their coop!! They just hatched this last weekend, will be shipped to us the first week of April! 4 polish hens! The coop is open air style, 5x8. Completely predator proofed!!

Interesting.
Might need to lower the nests tho, so they won't roost(and poop) in them.

Might also want to reconsider the chicken wire on the ground,
it won't stop rodents and could damage the chickens feet.
Aprons are better deterrants.

Yeah I was about to say with the dirt thrown over the wire and not much room for scratch, that will damage their feet when it starts cracking and rusting if not now.
We won’t have our chicks until next month! I just got the coop today but plan to add lots of packed dirt on top of the wire and then bedding on top of that, several inches!
