Yep, Lynne P I was planning on doing that soon because I know chicken wire wont keep anything out, I was just short on money and couldnt afford hardware cloth!

The coop is charming. You've done a lovely job of building it... just the right size for four chickens. It will keep them warm in winter, and you've added wonderful windows for light and ventilation.
Is that a wooden chicken I see? It looks hand carved.

And Carla I got that rooster carving at Lowes for 10 bucks its actually plastic but it looks like real wood. I don't think they have it anymore though because they got out all the fall stuff!

cmcgoun, I hear you! I gasped when I gathered up the receipts for things we bought to make our coop, and we used recycled planks and some 4 x 8 sheets from old construction!

Let me tell you! Lynne construction materials are outrageous I remember when OSB was 2 bucks a sheet!
