well there it is now i just need to add siding and trim and a touch o paint magnolia my daughter says blue
so blue it is!

I wish I could have used recyled materials - I tried but there wasn't much available when I wanted to start building. Of course now that I am building I am seeing free stuff EVERYWHERE! I have some extra 2x4's and a 4x4 that I will use for a "perch tree". If you want to check it out here is the post with my new (in progress) coop. There are pictures in the first post and more on page 2.

WOW!!! That's really different. Can't wait to see it painted.

I wouldn't use metal roosts. Too slippery and cold in the winter.

I think they need something wide enough so they don't have to grip and balance while sleeping all night. At least the flat side of a 2 x 4.
