I got much more of the framing done on the run today, and I ordered 25 ton of crushed fines today as well (it's basically driveway stone and dust). It's coming in the moring /Wednesday... I used it for my paths, driveway, and dog kennels and thought it would be great for chicken run instead of mud hole!
It can be raked and drains very well, so after I lay it (WOO HOO tractor work) I can start on the wire.
I already have 300 feet of 1x1" 14 gauge welded wire. Good stuff...
I will take pictures Wednesday when I'm done... Calling for rain here on and off for the next 3-4 days so it will be tricky getting it all done but so far I've met all my goals and deadlines within a day or two and I set this phase of the chicken coop project to be done by Monday the latest!
After that it's steel posts and several 100' rolls of 2x4 welded wire for the exterior of the run! I'm going to give them a few thousand sq feet to forge in until I finish clearing bush, then they my get more depending if they are willing to use it.
