You will like it SO much better if you put it up on 24" legs to bring it up to eye level. That's how I did mine and it is incredibly easy on my back to take care of them, see and play with them. Everyone that sees it wonders why they didn't think of that. Mine is the same size as yours too. It has 3 sides with hardware wire and the back is plywood. I made a shingled roof to match my house roof and the two front doors are removable for easy access and cleaning. I put vinyl on the floor and use wood shavings. I found a giant dustpan at home depot that scoops all the shavings out easily and quickly when I change them completely about once a month. It only takes about 15 minutes to scoop out and refill it.

Nice! Will you have storm shutters? My coop is similar, but I built the attached run 6 feet tall so I didn't have to stoop. I agree with featherbaby about the height. If I had it to do again I would put it on stilts. Then you can make a mini-sheltered run below.

hey featherbaby. could you post a picture of your coop so i could see what your trying to tell me to do. im more of a visual person.
