My Coop

Hello everyone,

I wanted to post some pics of my new Coop. I built it myself with a little help from my husband. It's based of the Wichita Cabin Coop. Many thanks for Wichita and Steamy Kitchen for the excellent plans and posts. I could not have done it without both of those resources. I've never built anything like this before. I just got four 8 week olds and they seem to be really happy. Looking forward to getting to know everyone.

Thanks for your kind words. I do have plans to build a more expanded yard for them at some point once the coffers are replenished! I'd also like to have a portable yard/tractor so i can take them up by my garden when I'm working outside.

Thank you! The run area is 6' x 10' and the coop portion is about 4'x6'.
