I couldn't believe it because she didn't seem ready, but Dandy had laid her egg for the day, and it wasn't in a nest box, and Dandy always lays hers in her favorite nesting box.

Clover has passed away , I had her euthanized. She had been suffering a really bad prolapsed vent. (More details in the thread I posted, HELP! Egg bound hen but
I don't feel an egg!!! NEED RESPONCES NOW!!, and Goodbye to Clover , but hello to 2 little ones soon )

Later today we will be welcoming the 2 new babies both 2 new breeds! Dandy and Panda are very excited!

Babies have been here 1 month now and settled in nicely, better than Clover did. Egg production dropped, but getting oyster shell to fix that. Some chickens will not eat their own food!

Well, been a while bit, but an update: Panda, Dandy, and Junebug passed away due to hawk attacks.

We now have:
The Easter Eggers: Cristobell, Minnie, Earl and Hazel,
The Orpingtons: Sissy Lavender (Lavender), and Sunny (Buff)
The Polish: Moppet, Muppet, Elsa
Blue Australorp: Nova
