Passifloras are very fast growing vines that flower (looks like an inside out flower) and have edible parts, might be safe for chickens. They do extremley well in full sun. I had a bunch shading my front porch a couple years back. We sowed the seeds found at walmart straight into the ground.
We had some weird cetterpillars show up with what looked like stingers on their rears and they ate the vine killing it.
