Two of my Bantams went broody at the same time, in the same nesting box , so my in laws gave us possibly 4 fertile eggs to try to hatch from our roosters they took in and their hens. My bantam girls are not the mamas. The roosters that could be the dads are a Dominique (Zorro) or Grey Silkie (Monster). The hens are varying standard chicken breeds but I know one mama is a barred rock based on the egg color.
We lost an Easter Egger Saturday suddenly so seeing the eggs start to hatch yesterday was a blessing after a very sad day. We had severe thunderstorms and tornado weather (one touched down near by) in the middle of the night, so when I checked around 2 am, there were 3 little babies underneath my coparenting bantams
My coparenting bantams, Snow (white Silkie) and Millie (Mille fleur Bearded D'uccle):
Baby chicks, our tornado trio
