Just wanted to say Hello and Thank you for all the information on here. My 1st baby Coturnix Quail hatched a few minutes ago, and I’m so excited as I have 15 eggs in one bator and another 18 in another incubator. I thought they weren’t going to hatch as they are a couple days late. I really enjoy raising them.

I have a new question and need some advice. A friend of my husband gave him unrefrigerated button quail eggs that are a couple days old, but had them in a glass jar with the lid on. Is there anyway they could hatch (they are supposed to be fertile) after being in a closed jar for 2 days.

I dont think the jar would affect them too much and theyd still be hatchable as long as theyre not like sealed. Thats a kinda close way to something a friend suggested to me some time ago, to keep the eggs longer without loosing too much of the water makingthe air cells grow too large.
