I was hoping the third time's the charm, but I guess not, I keep telling her I want a girl, a giRL, a GIRL, but she's not listening, this is her third calf and all have been boys.

But why does he have to be so cute! And friendly! Anyway I thought I'd show him off. He's still alittle wobbly looking, but he was bouncing all over the place!

Just look at that face! Isn't he adorable!

My horse isn't to sure what he thinks of him,

And my mom's calves are dying to get a look at the newbie,

Very cute. We are going to be breeding our Jersey heifer in a month. There is a man in our area that will come out to your place and do AI and guarantee you a heifer. They sex the sperm and he actually guarantees a heifer. I'm so excited about that. Technology has come a long way.

I won't be eating him, so I'll be thinking about the money when he sells. But just think if the first one had been a girl I'd be playing w/ two calves now. I guess I'm destin to have a herd of only one. (I know I could buy one or more, but that's not the point)

Wow, that would be so neat to have a guaranteed heifer! How much does he charge? Don't know that there is anyone around here that could do it, but I'm currious! And I'm envious that you have a jersey! Me and my mom have been wanting to get one.

Now I get to start planning the next calf! I normally use my mom's bull, but she sold her big bull and has a calf that won't be ready yet, so we may see about visiting my dad's new bull!
