My crazy chickens. I need advise on keeping my flock warm this winter?

How cold does it get/why are you heating your coop?
I want my chickens to not be bitterly cold when in their coop. They are use to some heat all their lives till now so I want to still keep the really cold temperature off of them.

Chickens are naturally equipped with cozy, down parkas.

Heat, not cold is the problem for them. :)

We have had ice first then snow so it is cold outside around 20 degrees at night.

20 above 0 is nothing to a chicken as long as it's dry and the coop is well-ventilated.

20 below for an extended time is when you start thinking about heat. :)

Thank you for reply. My chickens are spoiled with the heat and all the meal worms, sunflower seeds, etc. they get everyday. We just had a turkey breast for Christmas diner so they had the skeleton to pick on like they do when we have chicken and they love their bones to clean. I have two dogs and they say never give your dogs chicken bones so my chickens get to pick the bones clean then they go out with the trash.
They are my pets just like my dogs so I spoil them all the time.
