One of my cats is kind of the same way. He talks all the time, then goes on walks with me in the woods. Not too many, though. Might lose weight He's still a hefty 15 pounds.

Average cat is 12 but yeah, much too thin. Needs more noms.
They get up to 20lbs, I think. That can be my goal.
