My crowing meatie...little troublemaker =P

Thank you everyone, for your kind words.

As KatytheChickenLady said (thank you

), these guys and gals are Cornish X's.

They have feed in the tractor at night, and I put it outside when I open them up in the morning. It's been so hot here, they have water EVERYWHERE, four of them for nine birds!! In the tractor, right outside, and in their favorite shade spots.

We put straw in the bottom of one side of the tractor (the covered part) for them to sleep on at night, and move the tractor every couple days, raking out the hay that was there, and hosing the spot down. Hubby was only willing to give up a small amount of lawn since I've taken over with the layers, and my gardens...oh and the quail..and now these guys...so I just rotate the tractor between three spots, probably not a great idea if your meaties will live exclusively in the tractor, no free ranging...I am sure the poo would build up way too fast. It works for me, because they spend so much time out of the tractor.

Next group will be 15 birds, unless hubby is willing to make another tractor

because I would really like to do 25 at a time next time.

What I am doing wont work for everyone, but it has made it a really enjoyable experience for me thus far!

My husband just called and informed me that Mr. Trouble was crowing at 5 this morning, when he left for work. Yep... he is sealing is own fate the sweet little brat! He's got a date this weekend....
