Yeah, that sounds about right. On a positive note, I can't tell you how proud I was going outside over the weekend an seeing my 10 chasing off two stray dogs with their incessant screeching and chasing; pretty big dogs, too, like the size of a basset hound and a Rottweiller. That's what I call lucky!

Thats Funny

My guineas have got to be the dumbest around, I'm suprised they remember to eat. Its funny, I have a picket fence seperating the back lot from our back yard. These stupid birds will run back and fourth, then start calling and raising heck, because they just can't figure out that they can walk through the pickets. I have to go open the gate so the can get back. They walk through just fine, but can't seem to figure out its the same upon return.
Then when they return to their pen, its like they never been there before, back and fourth, back and fourth, never realizing they keep running past the gate. I have a cochin that runs with them, and when I feed, the cochin walks in, eats and leaves. The guineas still running back and fourth. lol And every night, the try to roost with the cochin, still haven't figured out that he is outside the pen on a branch. They will hit the top of the pen for a good half hour every night trying to get there. Duh, go outside the pen.

I do have to say, these are the only guineas I've had that go in every night.

Then I have this one chick, I posted that I thought it died due to the cold, but came back. Well, we are on life # 3 as she can not take any temp changes. I go out, she is dead or appears to be, stick her under the light, and poof, all better. Last time I tossed her in the incubator, figured that was better than the light. 20 minutes later alive and well, running around among the eggs, poor kids thought I hatched a giant chick. lol
