I also will not get on my soapbox
but we do all medical things as God intended. Benedryl may seem to help, but while it may help inflammation symptoms, it actually suppresses your immune system and may lead to the pox lasting longer and other side effects that they normally shouldn't experience. God gave us many awesome things for rashes:
Catnip tea helps bring the pox out quicker and helps with fevers!
Aloe Vera gel (real with nothing added) along with colloidal silver and tea tree oil helps keep the pox cool (not itchy) and dry (gone quicker)!
Oatmeal baths (no need to buy baths with junk added) just run rolled or steal cut oats through a coffee grinder (make a powder) and add a half to 1 cup of the powder to a warm bath (too warm or hot will make them worse).
Also you do not have to break out at all to become immune. We have 5 children (so far) and 1 broke out like I've never seen someone break out and 1 had a pretty good break out and 2 showed no signs at all, and the other had maybe 2 or 3 spots. Took them and had them tested, all have immunity.
You (mostly parents and siblings) can get certain diseases from someone that has been recently vaccinated and develop an unknown immunity or illness, (chickenpox and polio included), usually through their stool.
We did the above mentioned things for our children and they weren't too bothered by them and they went fairly quickly (about 1 week). Hope all goes well for you!!
