My daughter Taylor LOVES the chickens- almost as much as I do! We've experimented with nearly every farm animal out there, and finally found our passion. It is so neat to be able to share it with her.

Awwwww!! That's so cute! And I think it's absolutely wonderful that you've found something that all of you can take interest and enjoyment in together. The family that farms together, stays together.

You're also giving your children such a great experience in being responsible for their birds. I've always maintained that children that learn love, respect and responsibility for any animal, turn out to be a better adjusted adult later on.

I got the Exchequer Leghorns from Ideal. I like them a lot. Most Leghorns are flighty but these are so sweet, and of course gorgeous to look at.
