My daughter took a hard spill....

I put a butterfly on it mainly because it kept trickling blood.

I actually took her to the ER tonight because she had a temp of 103.00 while we were in the waiting room she threw up. I thought it must be due to her head, but they ran a CAT scan on her and they said she is fine.

She must have some kind of bug, she still has a fever, and she threw up again after dinner.

* Back in the day, a kid belonging to my mom's best friend got hit in the head with a rock-- His eight month's preggers mom took one look, said "O-M-G!!!!", flew into the kitchen, popped 2 valium and collapsed into her chair. MY MOM washed the little ding in his forehead, put a band-aid on it, had him change his bloody t-shirt and sent him back out to play!! I'll never forget it!!!

I'm sorry that it happened, head wounds bleed ridiculously. And now to be sick on top of it...

When my youngest would take a tumble, (or was pushed by one of his siblings)

a cookie, one in each hand, of course, went a long way to helping him feel better.

I would watch for strange behavior anyway, but generally nothing comes of it, thank goodness!

My oldest Boxer LOVES my 2-year-old Grandson, and my Grandson loves Leo. But, Leo is 87 pounds and does have a tendency to knock the boy down. Not intentionally, he just doesn't know his own strength.

Now keagan, my Grandson, is just the right height for slurping right in the face.

The 'what if's' are awful aren't they, instead of accepting things as they are I'm the same, 'what if this, what if that', and it can really freak you out.

Hope she's feeling a little better now.

just wait 'till she becomes a teenager. haha

I'm glad she is okay. Head wounds are the worst. When I was 8 1/2 months pregnant with my youngest son my oldest son hit his head on the corner of a window air conditioner. When I heard him cry and looked out I couldn't see anything except blood - his entire head/face was covered. I didn't take the 4 or 5 steps down from the porch just jumped right over them. He ended up with 3 or 4 stitches and he was fine.

I too play the 'what if' game - I think all Mom's do because our kids are so important to us it scares the crap out of us when something happens to them.

As I type my 3 year old is trying to climb the bricks around the fireplace!! An accident waiting to happen - that is what my boys are

Thanks everyone, She is doing fine now, still a bit of fever but she is drinking fluids and she feels better.

Also, her daddy got her the sweetest tabby cat, she's a stray, but no one here in the neighborhood will claim her so I guess she's ours now.
