Thanks everybody she wants so bad to play in it but with it being white I have to tell her no wait until halloween they you can live in it all you want after that. Plus at the same time I'm sewing my niece a bunny costume everytime she trys it on she hops all over the house!
That looks awesome! My mom used to make all my costumes. I was a dalmation, a bat, a princess, a kitty, and a ton of other things! I loved those home made costumes! That mask looks very comfortable to wear!
Awesome!!!!! I, too, am always thrilled to see homemade costumes (especially truly fantastic ones like yours!). It's so sad to see all the store-bought ones, just afterthoughts, a way to get the big bag o' loot, really. When we were kids we ALWAYS made our own, inventive costumes. When Olivia was little I made hers..... some were MAJOR productions and investments of time & money; I am so glad she's at the age now where she wants to make her own! Now I only have to help with the difficult parts, she does all the planning and designing.
Here's her Egyptian Queen costume from last year (she was in an Egypt phase!) - we made the snake headdress and collar and used old costume parts for the rest, she made herself a scroll with real hieroglyphs on it!
This year she is going to be a sorceress and has been planning and drawing the costume since July. We'll start sewing this weekend!
Still fantastic all put together Poison Ivy.
Sea Chick, your DD's and you'rs are good too. I did a Viking one year, but I have a real battle axe...
DS one year was a shark. I bought a blue sweatsuit, painted his face blue, bought a foam shark hat and he held a huge blue squeaky Mako shark...
