Thanks everyone for the compliments! My daughter's FIL will be glad to hear them. My daughter is quite hands on, also. She did all the painting and staining. The color scheme matches their new home and as soon as she sends me photos, I'll post them here. The window mechanism was purchased at Menards and she is trying to find out from her FIL exactly what kind it is. It keeps the window open without having to brace it or latch it open.
